Crisis Management Information

The Family Resource Center offers clinical services during normal business hours which are as follows: Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.  Mrs. Anissa Weiss answers our business telephone from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and on Fridays from 9:00am to 12:00pm. If you are having a mental health emergency during those business hours you may call and ask to speak to me or schedule an emergency appointment within 24 hours of your call.  You may also utilize the resources listed below to assist you as well.

The Family Resource Center does not provide 24 hour on call assistance to clients, potential clients or their family members. Our phones are not answered after hours, on weekends, or on holidays.
We do normally respond to our telephone messages and email messages within the same business day.  However, in the event of a crisis, we request that you call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room, or call one of the below crisis numbers. Please read below to know what to do in the event of a mental health emergency.
 
If you or someone you know is having a mental health emergency:

 

CALL 911 or go to your nearest EMERGENCY ROOM.

 

 

1. What is a mental health emergency?

Any of the following situations constitutes a mental health emergency and requires IMMEDIATE professional attention:
  • Thoughts to harm yourself or someone else (Suicidal or Homicidal)
  • Hallucinations, delusions, or paranoia (Psychosis)
  • Cutting on one's self or having self-harm behaviors (Self-injury)
  • Experiencing physical withdrawal symptoms of alcohol or drugs

 

  2. What should I do if I am NOT having a mental health emergency but I would like to speak with someone after hours?
 

Please call the following numbers for 24 hour mental health concerns that are not mental health emergencies.
